Common use of Joint Health and Safety Committee Clause in Contracts

Joint Health and Safety Committee. a) (i) The Company and the Union agree to maintain the established Joint Health and Safety Committee in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act as now written or hereafter amended. The Union representation on the committee shall be up to four (4) members chosen by the Union. At no time shall the number of Management members out number the number of Union members.

Either of Union membersthese co-chairpersons may appoint an alternate to act in their absence.

At no time shall bargaining unit members, three (3) of whom are from the number of Management members out number day shift including the number of Union membersCo-Chairperson, two (2) from afternoon shift and two (2) from night shift.
