Inclusion and Training. ● Provide culturally responsive, relevant, affordable digital literacy and media training for people of color, English-language learners, people with disabilities, and low-income residents to use media and broadband technologies competently. Training shall be tailored to address the unique barriers for these populations to getting online or producing media content, including but not limited to level of expertise, interests and needs, language, schedule requirements, level of income and geographic availability. ● Provide low-income residents and non-profit organizations access to media and broadband content-production tools and support for content sharing and distribution across multiple platforms and technologies. ● Develop partnerships focused on assisting people from underrepresented populations to gain digital literacy skills needed for education, employment, and civic engagement. ● Engage ethnically and culturally diverse, marginalized, and English- language learners’ communities for Grantee to create, acquire and distribute content that supports a wide range of community perspectives, specifically those historically misrepresented or underrepresented in traditional media. ● Collaborate with other organizations throughout the Multnomah County area to build community media and digital literacy capacity, including organizations that apply and receive grant funding support from the MHCRC.

  • Orientation and Training A transferring employee will be orientated separately to both or their new home in accordance with Article 20 the collective agreement of the designated employer.

  • Education and Training The foundation of this Program is education and voluntary compliance. It is recognized that alcohol and chemical dependency may make voluntary cessation of use difficult, and one of the Program’s principal aims is to make voluntary steps toward ending substance abuse easily available. The outside contractor shall review and develop on-going educational and training information on the adverse consequences of substance abuse and the responsibility to avoid being under the influence of alcohol or chemicals at work.   • STUDENTS AND TRAINEES 1. Payments which a student, business apprentice or trainee who is or was immediately before visiting a Contracting State a resident of the other Contracting State and who is present in the first-mentioned State solely for the purpose of his education or training receives for the purpose of his maintenance, education or training shall not be taxed in that State, provided that such payments arise from sources outside that State.

  • Staff Training VENDOR shall ensure that all staff providing direct Services receive continuing education and training as needed or required and that such education and training is documented.

  • Cross Training (a) The parties recognize the importance of cross training to ensure that employees are properly trained for backup and for promotions. When the Employer identifies a cross training opportunity the Employer shall provide each regular employee written notification of the cross training opportunity in following with 6.02(a). The Employer undertakes to cross train employees on the basis of seniority and the ability to do the job within a reasonable period of time.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • EDUCATION AND TRAINING FUND 22.01 i) The Employer shall contribute to the Union the sum of Five cents ($.05) per hour per full- time employee for each hour worked for education and training of Union members.

  • Penalties and Training Business Associate understands that: (a) there may be civil or criminal penalties for misuse or misappropriation of PHI and (b) violations of this Agreement may result in notification by Covered Entity to law enforcement officials and regulatory, accreditation, and licensure organizations.   • Driver Training A. All drivers are to be provided with appropriate training and refresher courses each year in the following areas as a minimum: * Proper use of equipment including communications equipment; * Defensive driving; * Emergency and accident procedures; * Identifying unusual passenger behavior; * Student harassment and bullying; * Conducting evacuation drills; * Sensitivity training in working with disabled persons; * Human relation skills in working with parents, school staff, etc; * General vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspections; and * Map reading and city street coordinates. The Department of Business and Transportation Services may review Contractors’ bus driver training program, upon request.

  • EDUCATION AND TRAINING TRUST FUND 45.01 The Employer shall contribute four hundred ($400.00) dollars per calendar year into the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local No. 832, Education and Training Trust Fund.
