FURTHERING COMPETENCE. 6.3.1 Reimbursements shall be made to teachers for tuition for each course taken beyond the hours required for provisional, professional or continuing certification provided, however, such courses shall be approved by the Superintendent. Maximum reimbursement shall be six (6) semester hours per fiscal year.

FURTHERING COMPETENCE. A. Tuition reimbursement is limited to probationary teachers, with approval of course work targeted at additional certification, which is directly applicable to school/district-wide goals, IDP goals, or to be eligible to teach dual enrollment courses. Prior approval by Superintendent is required, there is a $2000 max per contract year per teacher, for tuition costs only. Payment to the teacher will be dispersed after the teacher successfully completes the course(s) for credit. The final grades shall be submitted to the business office.
FURTHERING COMPETENCE. A. Tuition reimbursement is suspended for the 2015-2016 school year, and supersedes language which follows; Reimbursements shall be made to teachers for tuition for each course beyond the eighteen (18) hours required to achieve initial professional certification. Such courses shall be approved by the Superintendent as to applicability in furthering the teacher's competence. The number of credits reimbursed per year will be limited to six (6) semester hours or the equivalent of six (6) semester hours if based on quarter hours of credit.

  • Accommodation for Disabilities MAHEC complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and state and local requirements regarding Fellow with disabilities. Upon request, MAHEC will provide a reasonable accommodation to the known physical or mental limitations of an otherwise qualified applicant or employee with a disability, unless doing so would impose an undue hardship on MAHEC.

  • NON-TEACHING DUTIES A. The Committee and the Association agree that a teacher's primary responsibility is to teach. It must be remembered, however, that in addition to that primary purpose there are other responsibilities within the School that must be assumed by teachers. The Committee and the Association recognize that paraeducators, clerical employees are useful and necessary in order to implement teaching. The Committee, having made provisions for paraeducators, will continue to work toward the improvement of this situation.

  • Teaching Assistants 1. All Teaching Assistants shall receive the same remuneration per base unit and the difference between the amount paid a Graduate Teaching Assistant and other Teaching Assistants is an associated scholarship. See XIII D. for appropriate compensation.

  • Expertise Such Member alone, or together with its representatives, possesses such expertise, knowledge and sophistication in financial and business matters generally, and in the type of transactions in which the Company proposes to engage in particular, that such Member is capable of evaluating the merits and economic risks of acquiring and holding the Units, and that such Member is able to bear all such economic risks now and in the future;

  • PROFESSIONAL COMPENSATION A. The basic salaries of teachers covered by this Agreement are set forth in Appendix A which is attached to and incorporated in this Agreement. Such salary schedule shall remain in effect during the designated periods.

  • Cultural Competency 1. All program staff shall receive at least one (1) in-service training per year on some aspect of providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services. At least once per year and upon request, Contractor shall provide County with a schedule of in-service training(s) and a list of participants at each such training.

  • Religious Activities The Subrecipient agrees that funds provided under this Agreement will not be utilized for inherently religious activities prohibited by 24 CFR 570.200(j), such as worship, religious instruction, or proselytization.

  • Competency Competency involves application of knowledge and skills to a limited range of tasks and roles. There is a specific range of contexts where the choice of actions is clear. The competencies are normally used within established routines, methods and procedures that are predictable. Judgments against established criteria may also be required.
