Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.

School Year Employment If an employee is employed on the basis of a school year and such employment contemplates absences from the State payroll during the summer months or vacation periods scheduled by the Appointing Authority which occur during the regular school year, the employee shall nonetheless remain eligible for an Employer Contribution, provided that the employee appears on the regular payroll for at least one (1) working day in the payroll period immediately preceding such absences.
Compensation for Mandatory Assistance City will compensate Contractor for fees incurred for providing Mandatory Assistance. Compensation for Holidays Worked a. With the exception of the provisions in Section C.2.b., below, an employee required to work on a holiday listed above shall be paid at the employee's regular straight-time rate of pay for the hours actually worked. In addition, an eligible employee shall receive either compensatory time off or holiday pay at the option of the University at the regular straight-time rate, including any shift differential.
Alternative Employment An employer, in a particular redundancy case, may make application to the Commission to have the general severance pay prescription varied if the employer obtains acceptable alternative employment for an employee.
Probation for Newly Hired Employees (a) The Employer may reject a probationary employee for just cause. A rejection during probation shall not be considered a dismissal for the purpose of Article 11.2
Compensation for Unused Sick Leave 1. Employees who enter County service after July 1, 1979, shall not be eligible for compensation for any of their unused sick leave credits.
