Crisis Prevention and Recovery.  UNDP Yemen in partnership with the Social Fund for Development has completed the data collection phase of the comprehensive Early Recovery Needs Assessment for the Displaced Population as well as host communities in Aden governorate.  Emergency Assistance Project for Livelihoods restoration of Abyan IDPs trained 543 IDPs in communications, advocacy, leadership, GPS for fishermen, needlework, customer services, intensive care services for hospitals, and accounting programmes.  16 of those trained IDPs have been recruited by the project to support the communication team to better engage with IDPs.  112 IDPs have received productivity tools, including GPS devices for fishermen, beauty salon kits for beauticians and others.  UNDP Yemen has opened a regional office in the North, responsible for the implementation of UNDP’s community-driven early recovery project, as well as coordinate the undertaking of a technical survey of mine and Unexploded ordinates affected areas in the north.  Early Recovery Project in Saada distributed 240 tons of fertilizers, and 120 tons of seeds to the most vulnerable effected population in Saada.  To improve the capacity of non-state actors to absorb donor support and implement recovery programming, UNDP has conducted a capacity assessment and developed recommendations for increased engagement with civil society organizations.  40 Displaced youth from the conflict areas in the south have participated in a vocational training course in mobile phone care and maintenance in Aden governorate.  UNDP’s Early Recovery Project in the East has publicized a new traditional house design that is more resistant to the impact of climate change in the region.

Crisis Prevention and Recovery. There are two desired outcomes: (a) decreased risk of natural and man‐ made hazards to rural and urban livelihoods and infrastructure and recovery mechanisms are in place and (b) the Government is able to plan, coordinate and implement comprehensive mine action. Towards the first outcome, UNDP will work to: increase the capacity of the Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CoES), as well as other government authorities and local communities in disaster risk management, and help pilot effective early recovery and national and regional early warning information and communication systems. Towards the second outcome, UNDP will support the Government to plan, coordinate, and implement mine action activity, such that Tajikistan is compliant with the Ottawa Convention antipersonnel mine ban treaty (assuming Extension Request for Article 5 of APMBT is accepted).

  • Erosion Prevention and Control Purchaser’s Operations shall be conducted reasonably to minimize soil erosion. Equipment shall not be operated when ground conditions are such that excessive damage will result. Purchaser shall adjust the kinds and intensity of erosion control work done to ground and weather condi- tions and the need for controlling runoff. Erosion control work shall be kept current immediately preceding ex- pected seasonal periods of precipitation or runoff. If Purchaser fails to do seasonal erosion control work prior to any seasonal period of precipitation or runoff, Forest Service may temporarily assume responsibility for the work and any unencumbered deposits hereunder may be used by Forest Service to do the work. If needed for such work, Purchaser shall make additional deposits on request by Forest Service. Any money deposited or used for this purpose shall be treated as cooperative deposits under B4.218.

  • Workplace Violence Prevention and Crisis Response (applicable to any Party and any subcontractors and sub-grantees whose employees or other service providers deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services): Party shall establish a written workplace violence prevention and crisis response policy meeting the requirements of Act 109 (2016), 33 VSA §8201(b), for the benefit of employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party shall, in preparing its policy, consult with the guidelines promulgated by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for Preventing Workplace Violence for Healthcare and Social Services Workers, as those guidelines may from time to time be amended. Party, through its violence protection and crisis response committee, shall evaluate the efficacy of its policy, and update the policy as appropriate, at least annually. The policy and any written evaluations thereof shall be provided to employees delivering direct social or mental health services. Party will ensure that any subcontractor and sub-grantee who hires employees (or contracts with service providers) who deliver social or mental health services directly to individual recipients of such services, complies with all requirements of this Section.

  • 341 Prevention of Oil Spills If Purchaser maintains storage facilities for oil or oil products on Sale Area, Purchaser shall take appropriate preventive measures to ensure that any spill of such oil or oil products does not enter any stream or other waters of the United States or any of the individual States. If the total oil or oil products storage exceeds 1,320 gallons in containers of 55 gallons or greater, Purchaser shall prepare a Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plan. Such plan shall meet applicable EPA requirements (40 CFR 112), including certification by a registered professional engineer. Purchaser shall notify Contracting Officer and appropriate agencies of all reportable (40 CFR 110) spills of oil or oil products on or in the vicinity of Sale Area that are caused by Purchaser’s employees agents, contractors, Subcontractors, or their employees or agents, directly or indirectly, as a result of Purchaser’s Operations. Purchaser will take whatever initial action may be safely accomplished to contain all spills.

  • Implementation and Review The Parties shall consult annually, or as otherwise agreed, to review the implementation of this Chapter and consider other matters of mutual interest affecting trade in services. The Contractor agrees to search monthly the HHS-Office of Inspector General ("OIG") and Texas Health and Human Services Commission Office of Inspector General ("HHSC-OIG") List of Excluded Individuals/Entities ("LEIE") websites to capture exclusions and reinstatements that have occurred since the last search and to immediately report to HHSC-OIG any exclusion information the Contractor discovers. Exclusionary searches for prospective employees and contractors shall be performed prior to employment or contracting.
