Natural Disasters. In the event of an unforeseeable cause beyond the control of and without the negligence of the University, including but not limited to fire, flood, other severe weather, acts of God, interruption of utility services, acts of terrorism, the University reserves the right to maintain the safety of the premises by any means, including but not limited to temporarily or permanently removing the Resident from on-campus housing.

Natural Disasters. If the Landlord is unable to make the Venue available for any reason outside of their control, including, but not limited to, damage to the Venue, local emergencies, acts of God, or any other types of natural disasters, this Agreement shall be canceled by the Landlord. In such an event, the Landlord agrees to refund the Renter any amounts already paid, including the Deposit.
Natural Disasters. Employees who are unable to attend work because of a natural disaster (eg flood or bushfire) are eligible for Special Leave, if work was available. Employees must provide a statutory declaration as evidence of their inability to attend work (including details of alternative routes to work, if any).
Natural Disasters. Licensor shall not be liable to Licensee in the event of an emergency, such as a fire, flood, or other natural cause which damages the Licensed Premises or the Improvements. In the event the Licensed Premises are damaged due to a natural disaster, it shall be the sole responsibility and cost of Licensee to return the Licensed Premises and, if it so elects, the Improvements, to their original condition. If Licensee chooses not to replace or repair the Improvements and instead wishes to terminate the License Agreement, the provisions of paragraph 5.b. below apply.
Natural Disasters. In the event of a hurricane, tornado, major storm or other natural disaster, the Contract Administrator may grant the Contractor a variance from regular routes and schedules. As soon as practicable after such natural disaster, the Contractor shall advise the Contract Administrator when it is anticipated that normal routes and schedules will be resumed. The Contract Administrator shall make an effort through the local news media to inform the public when regular services may be resumed. The clean up from some natural disasters may require that the Contractor hire additional equipment, employ additional personnel, or work existing personnel on overtime hours to clean debris resulting from the natural disaster. The Contractor shall receive extra compensation above the normal compensation contained in this Agreement to cover the costs to include rental equipment, additional personnel, overtime hours, and other expenses provided by the Contractor and such additional cost and compensation shall be included in and not exceed the unit price amount as set forth in Exhibit II. The Contractor shall first secure written authorization and approval from the Contract Administrator prior to the work being performed. All such costs may be audited by the County's Contract Administrator. During the month of March each year, the Contract Administrator will review the County's current disaster preparedness plan to coordinate the activities of the Contractor in the event of a natural disaster. On October 1, 2011, the Contractor is required to provide a disaster preparedness plan to the Contract Administrator for review and approval. This plan shall include provisions for additional manpower and equipment and will provide a reasonable, verifiable rate for Collection in the event of a natural disaster. In the event that excess work resulting from a natural disaster is compensated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or any other local, state or federal agency, the extra compensation shall be subject to such agency's approval. The Contractor shall update the natural disaster plan each year during the term of this Agreement for the Contract Administrator's review and approval.
Natural Disasters. In the event that the workday is cancelled by the Superintendent or designee or is declared a state of emergency by the Governor of California due to natural disaster (including but not limited to flooding, landslides, earthquake, and fire) the Superintendent or designee shall grant an emergency leave of absence to the affected employee(s). This leave shall be granted without a loss in pay and shall not be charged against the employee’s paid leaves. Employees who are required or requested by the District to come back during this time shall be compensated at a rate equal to one and one-half (1 and ½) times their regular rate of pay.

Natural Disasters. Loss or damage caused by a natural disaster, including flood or earthquake.
Natural Disasters. In the event of a hurricane, tornado, major storm or other natural disaster, the Contractor’s sole responsibility shall be to reestablish regular routes and schedules for the collection of Solid Waste, Recovered Materials, and Vegetative Waste as soon after the natural disaster as possible. The collection and disposal of Solid Waste shall be the highest priority. The collection and disposal of debris generated by a natural disaster shall not be the responsibility of the Contractor. However the Authority and the Contractor may mutually agree to execute a temporary agreement under which the Contractor will collect debris generated by a natural disaster. Contractor shall have a reasonable expectation that under a separate agreement or agreements, the Authority will procure collection and disposal services for debris generated by a natural disaster. The Contractor agrees to provide full cooperation with the Authority and the debris collection contractor in the aftermath of a natural disaster in an effort to return the county to its pre-disaster state, and resume normal collection services.
