Cost Estimate Preparation Clause Samples

The Cost Estimate Preparation clause outlines the process and requirements for creating a detailed projection of anticipated expenses for a project or service. Typically, this clause specifies who is responsible for preparing the estimate, the level of detail required, and the standards or methodologies to be used. For example, it may require the use of industry-standard cost databases or mandate that estimates include labor, materials, and overhead. Its core practical function is to ensure transparency and accuracy in budgeting, helping all parties understand financial expectations and reducing the risk of disputes over costs.
