Complementarity with other Danish programmes and policies. For Denmark, the RDPP phase II presents an opportunity to follow-through on two stated government priorities: migration, instability and terrorism; and security in the neighbourhood region (Government of Denmark Foreign and Security Policy Strategy 2017-2018). Denmark has an overall interest in containing irregular migration, improving stability and thereby conditions for durable solutions. Stability and security serves Danish commercial interests as well as the development outcomes pursued through Danish development cooperation. Denmark also attaches importance to operationalising the New Way of Working (NWOW) agenda, as outlined in the so-called Copenhagen New Way of Working Outcome Note (June 2017), i.e. working in the humanitarian-development nexus. The coordination office for XXXX in Amman coordinates closely with RDPP in the region, as has been the case in phase I. The same applies to the Syria – Iraq Regional Stabilization Programme (2016-2018), supporting ISIL-liberated areas in Iraq and opposition-controlled areas in Syria. The complementarity of and synergies between RDPP and the Regional Stabilisation Programme is co...
