The recipient of a sabbatical leave (yearlong or semester) shall receive the difference between his/her base salary and the salary of the replacement teacher/substitute. Base salary is defined as the appropriate step and column placement, including career increments and professional growth incentives, but does not include any form of extra compensation previously earned by the recipient.
