Common use of Compensation for Work on a Holiday Clause in Contracts

Compensation for Work on a Holiday. Notwithstanding Article 17.02 above, where a full-time or part-time employee is required by the Employer to work on any of the holidays listed in Article 17.01 above, the employee shall receive one and one-half (1.5) times their regular hourly rate for all hours worked on such holiday. Full-time employees shall also receive seven paid hours off in lieu of the paid holiday and part-time employees the hours equal to their holiday entitlement to be taken at a time mutually agreed between the employee and the Employer.

Notwithstanding Article 17.02 aboveEmployees who are required to work on a holiday shall receive in addition to the twelve (12) hours holiday pay, where a full-time or part-time and one half (1 1/2) for all hours worked. If an employee is required by the Employer to work in excess of twelve (12) hours on any of the holidays listed in Article 17.01 abovea holiday, the employee he/she shall receive one be paid two and one-half (1.52 1/2) times their regular the hourly rate for all hours worked on such holiday. Full-time employees shall also receive seven paid hours off in lieu excess of the paid holiday and part-time employees the hours equal to their holiday entitlement to be taken at a time mutually agreed between the employee and the Employerregular twelve (12) hour shift.
