Call Back on Statutory Holidays. Any member of the Association who is not on duty and is called out for duty on a statutory holiday, shall receive pay for such call out at two and one-quarter times (2.25x) the regular hourly rate of pay for each hour worked on the statutory holiday. Provided, that upon request of the member concerned, compensating time off will be allowed in lieu of overtime pay on the basis of two and one-quarter (2.25) hours for each hour to the member’s credit. Hours worked that fall outside the holiday will be compensated as per the applicable section under Article X of this Agreement. Any member of the Association who is not entitled to statutory credit leave under Article XII of this Agreement, shall in addition to the payments described above, receive their regular pay for the statutory holiday and receive one (1) additional day of leave for the statutory holiday that is disrupted. Any member of the Association who is not on duty and is called out for duty on a statutory holiday, shall receive pay for such call out at two and one-quarter times (2.25x) the regular hourly rate of pay for a minimum number of hours equal to the length of that member’s regular shift. Where the time spent by such member on such call out between the hours of 0:00 and 24:00 exceeds the number of hours of that member’s regular shift, all time spent in excess of that member’s shift will also be paid at the rate of two and one-quarter times (2.25x) the regular hourly rate of pay. Provided, that upon request of the member concerned, compensating time off will be allowed in lieu of overtime pay on the basis of two and one-quarter (2.25) hours for each hour to the member’s credit.   • Statutory Holiday All time worked on such Statutory Holidays as are provided for in this Agreement shall be considered as overtime and shall be paid at two hundred percent (200%) of the employee's regular straight-time rate, or the employee may elect to be paid straight-time rates for the overtime hours and take an equal number of hours as time off. Such time off must be taken according to a schedule acceptable to the employee's Supervisor within thirty (30) days of the end of the pay period in which the overtime was worked.

  • Statutory Holiday Pay Employees who qualify for statutory holiday pay shall be paid an average day's pay on the Statutory Holidays above, based on the following: amount paid / days worked. “Amount paid” is the amount earned by the employee for work done during the thirty (30) calendars day period preceding the statutory holiday, including vacation pay but excluding overtime pay. “Days worked” is the number of days the employee worked or earned wages during that thirty (30) calendar day period.

  • Annual Leave Exclusive of Public Holidays The period of annual leave prescribed by this clause is exclusive of any public holidays, and if any such holiday falls within an employee’s period of annual leave and is observed on a day which in the case of that employee would have been an ordinary working day, there will be added to the period of annual leave time equivalent to the ordinary time which the employee would have worked if such day had not been a holiday.

  • Minimum Call-Back Time An employee who is called in and required to work outside their regular working hours shall be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours at overtime rates unless the call-in is immediately prior to their normal work day, in which case there should be no minimum.

  • Number of Holidays (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only) There shall be twelve (12) holidays and these holidays are set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.
