Common use of Application for Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Application for Leave of Absence. All leaves of absence without pay, under Articles 32 and 34 herein, and any extension thereof may be applied for in writing to the Department of Human Resources, on forms supplied by the County, at least fifteen (15) working days prior to the proposed commencement of the leave except in serious and unusual circumstances. Notification of the approval or denial of their requested leave shall be given to the employee in writing within ten (10) working days after the submission of the request. Any denial of a requested leave of absence will include the reason for the denial.

Notification of the approval or denial of their requested leave shall be given to the employee in writing within ten (10) working days after the submission of the request. Any denial of a requested leave of absence will include the reason for the denial.
