Accrual of Pension Benefits. An employee does not earn service credits while on an unpaid leave of absence. Pension credit accrues as usual for paid leaves. For unpaid leaves, pension credit will not accrue. However, employees may have the opportunity to purchase the time, up to two years, by contacting the Division of Pensions within one (1) year of returning to active employment.

  • Pension Benefits Each party reserves the right to retain as his or her sole and absolute separate property, the entire interest in pension benefits now vested, or that become vested in the future, and the right to manage, control, transfer, and convey all such property and dispose of the same by will, beneficiary designation or otherwise, without any interference from the other. The parties acknowledge that this Agreement shall constitute an effective waiver of any rights in the other's pension benefit plans.   • Vision Benefits The County provides vision benefits to full-time active employees and their dependent(s), and computer vision care benefits to full-time active employees, with no employee contribution. Part-time employees will be enrolled automatically in the vision benefit and the County shall contribute to part-time eligible employees on a pro-rated basis, in accordance with Article 5.2.6. Benefit provisions, co-payments and deductibles are outlined in the Summary Plan Description or Evidence of Coverage.
