Defined Benefit Pension Plans definition

Defined Benefit Pension Plans means the Spinco Pension Plan and each other Spinco Benefit Arrangement (each as defined in the Employee Matters Agreement) that is a defined benefit pension plan.
Defined Benefit Pension Plans has the meaning set forth in SECTION 5.16(A).

More Definitions of Defined Benefit Pension Plans

Defined Benefit Pension Plans means the following three defined benefit pension plans maintained by the Debtors: (i) the Newcor, Inc. Retirement Plan (established and maintained by Newcor), (ii) Newcor, Inc. UAW 496 Pension Plan (established and maintained by Newcor), and (iii) Deco-Grand, Inc. Hourly Employees Pension Plan (established and maintained by Grand Machining Company).
Defined Benefit Pension Plans means the Con-way Pension Plan, Menlo Worldwide Forwarding Inc. Hourly Employees Pension Plan, EWA Pilots’ Retirement Plan, Con-way Inc. Supplemental Excess Retirement Plan, Con-way Inc. 2005 Supplemental Excess Retirement Plan, and Other Supplemental Retirement Plans, in each case, as amended from time to time, or any successor plan.
Defined Benefit Pension Plans. Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation," "Reportable Event," and "Prohibited Transaction" shall have the same respective meanings as are given to those terms in ERISA.

  • Canadian Defined Benefit Pension Plan means a Canadian Pension Plan that contains or has ever contained a “defined benefit provision” as such term is defined in Section 147.1(1) of the Income Tax Act (Canada).

  • Defined Benefit Fraction means a fraction, the numerator of which is the sum of the Member's Projected Annual Benefits under all qualified defined benefit plans (whether or not terminated) maintained by the Employer, and the denominator of which is the lesser of (i) one hundred twenty-five percent (125%) of the dollar limitation determined for the Limitation Year under sections 415(b)(1)(A) and (d) of the Code and (ii) one hundred forty percent (140%) of the Highest Average Compensation, including any adjustments under section 415(b)(5) of the Code, both in accordance with subsection 3.30.020(e)(10) below. Notwithstanding the above, if the Member was a Member as of the first day of the first Limitation Year beginning after December 31,1986 in one (1) or more qualified defined benefit plans maintained by the Employer which were in existence on May 6, 1986, the denominator of this fraction shall not be less than one hundred twenty-five percent (125%) of the sum of the Annual Benefits under such plans which the Member had accrued as of the close of the last Limitation Year beginning before January 1, 1987, disregarding any changes in the terms and conditions of the plans after May 5, 1986. The preceding sentence applies only if the qualified defined benefit plans individually and in the aggregate satisfied the requirements of Code section 415 for all Limitation Years beginning before January 1, 1987.

  • Retirement Plans means the retirement income, supplemental executive retirement, excess benefits and retiree medical, life and similar benefit plans providing retirement perquisites, benefits and service credit for benefits at least as great in value in the aggregate as are payable thereunder prior to a Change in Control.

Medical benefit plan does not include benefits provided to individuals retired from a public employer or a public employer's contributions to a fund used for the sole purpose of funding health care benefits that are available to a public employee or an elected public official only upon retirement or separation from service.

  • Health benefit plan means a policy, contract, certificate or agreement offered or issued by a health carrier to provide, deliver, arrange for, pay for or reimburse any of the costs of health care services.

  • Company Benefit Plan has the meaning specified in Section 4.13(a).

The annual Contributions and Phantom Contributions have been actuarially determined, using the assumptions set forth in Exhibit A, in order to fund for the projected Supplemental Retirement Income Benefit. The Supplemental Retirement Income Benefit for which Contributions (or Phantom Contributions) are being made (or recorded) is set forth in Exhibit A.
