Absences and Leaves In the event that one member of the job/time sharing arrangement is off due to illness or injury or goes on any other leave of absence, the remaining partner will endeavour to cover all of the absent partner’s shifts for the duration of the absence. If the employee is unable to cover the absences, she or he must inform the Director of Resident Care or designate.
Union Leave of Absence An employee on an unpaid Union leave of absence shall have her wages, benefits and seniority continued by the Employer, and the Union agrees to reimburse the Employer for the costs of such wages and benefits. Employees requesting leave under this article will provide the Employer with as much advance notice as possible of the dates of the leave. Where there are less than fifteen (15) regular employees at a workstation at the time the leave request is submitted, and subject to operational requirements, unpaid Union leave of absence will be granted to one employee for the purpose of conducting Union business. This would be an additional person on Union leave at worksites where the position of the Union President or Council member has been backfilled for the duration of their term of office. Casual Leave (a) Employees may be granted casual leave with pay to a maximum of two (2) hours for the following purposes:
Annual Leave (a) An employee may elect with the consent of the employer, subject to the Annual Xxxxxxxx Xxx 0000, to take annual leave not exceeding five days in single day periods or part thereof, in any calendar year at a time or times agreed by the parties.
Legal Leave 19.12.1The University shall grant leave of absence with pay to a member of faculty who is called to serve as a juror or a witness in a court of law in a matter in which he/she is not a party or an accused.
Civic Leave Section 1 - Election Board Employees may be granted leave for public services on Election Boards with compensation for the difference between payment for election Board duty and the regular salary, provided the school salary is greater.
Absences The Executive shall be entitled to vacations in accordance with the Company’s vacation policy in effect from time to time (but in no event shall the Executive be entitled to fewer vacation days than under the Company’s vacation policy as in effect on the Effective Date) and to absences because of illness or other incapacity, and shall also be entitled to such other absences, whether for holiday, personal time, conventions, or for any other purpose, as are granted to the Company’s other executive officers or as are approved by the Board of Directors or the Committee, which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.
Special Leave (a) Where leave from work is required, an employee shall be entitled to special leave at their regular rate of pay for the following:
Maternity Leave (a) An employee is entitled to maternity leave of up to 17 weeks without pay.
Union Leave (a) Upon receiving a written request at least one (1) week in advance from the Union, the Company will grant leave of absence for not more than two (2) employees at any one time to attend Union conferences, conventions, or workshops, providing that the combined leaves of absence will not exceed forty (40) working days in any one (1) calendar year. Such leaves of absence will be without pay but with maintenance and accumulation of benefits (normal payroll deductions to apply).
