Telecommunications franchisee definition

Telecommunications franchisee means the holder of a current franchise pursuant to section 1072(c) of the New York City Charter, or of a revocable consent from the City of New York for installation of telecommunications equipment above, below or on any of the streets within the City. A franchise is not “current” if the term of the franchise agreement has expired and the franchise is in holdover status.

  • Telecommunications System means a system for conveying visual images, sounds or other information by electronic means;

  • telecommunication system means any system (including the apparatus comprised in it) which exists (whether wholly or partly in the United Kingdom or elsewhere) for the purpose of facilitating the transmission of communications by any means involving the use of electrical or electro-magnetic energy.
