STUDENT TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE definition

STUDENT TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE means a Temporary Employee enrolled in a program of post-secondary study, who is hired with the understanding that the duration of employment will not exceed nine hundred and seventy- five (975) hours in a calendar year and will not extend beyond the duration of their education program. Student Temporary Employees will not accumulate seniority but will be considered as part of the bargaining unit.

  • Temporary Employee is one who is hired on a temporary basis for a full- time or part-time position:

  • Temporary Employees means those employees hired to replace regular employees absent due to illness, accident, vacation, leave of absence, etc., or hired to perform work on projects or assignments of limited duration. The employment of temporary employees hired to perform work on projects or assignments of limited duration shall be limited to a period of ninety (90) days of work in any twelve (12) month period, commencing from the date of hire or commencement of employment in such period. The period of employment for temporary employees hired for all other purposes shall be limited to twelve (12) months. A project or assignment of limited duration shall not exceed eighteen (18) weeks’ duration in any twelve (12) month period. Any projects or assignments of limited duration in excess of that provided for herein will be posted.

  • Temporary employment Any employment which will require the services of an incumbent for a limited period of time, paid on an hourly basis, not in an allocated position or in permanent status. Transfer: The change of an employee who has permanent status in a position to another position in the same class in a different department, or to another position in a class which is allocated to a range on the salary plan that is within five percent (5%) at top step as the class previously occupied by the employee.   • Student Employee means a student who is paid by the District, and may include students participating in a work study program or who receive stipends while they are acting within the scope of their employment at the District at the time the intellectual property was created.

  • Temporary Teacher means a person employed to teach under the authority of a letter of permission.

  • Auxiliary Employee meaning an employee who is employed for work which is not of a continuous nature such as:

  • Temporary service means an electrical service granted temporarily for such purposes as construction, real estate sales, trailers, et cetera;

  • Client employer means an Employer that is involved in a Tri-Party Employment Relationship due to obtaining the services of a third-party entity.

  • Contract employee means a probationary faculty employee or a grant- funded employee hired on a year-to-year basis in accordance with Education Code 87470.

  • Permanent Employees means all employees who are not casual employees, or employees working in a long-term supply assignment, as defined below.

  • Temporary job site means any location where industrial radiography, wireline service, well-logging, portable gauge or x-ray fluorescence use is performed and where licensed material may be stored other than those locations of use authorized on the license.

  • Permanent Employee means an employee in the classified service who has successfully completed a probationary period.

  • Replacement employee is an employee specifically engaged to replace an employee proceeding on parental leave.

  • Retained Employee does not include any individual who has a direct or an indirect ownership interest of at least five percent (5%) in the profits, equity, capital, or value of the Taxpayer, or a child, grandchild, parent, or spouse, other than a spouse who is legally separated from the individual, of any individual who has direct or indirect ownership interest of at least five percent (5%) of the profits, equity, capital or value of the Company.

  • Executive Employee means those employees of the Company of Grade Level 10 or above.

  • Temporary worker means a person who is furnished to you to substitute for a permanent "employee" on leave or to meet seasonal or short-term workload conditions.

  • Management Employee means an employee in a position having significant responsibilities for formulating district policies or administering district programs. Management positions shall be designated by the public school employer subject to review by the Public Employment Relations Board.

  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families or "TANF" means the program administered by the Department through which a relative can receive monthly cash assistance for the support of his eligible children.

  • Authorized Employee means an employee of Processor who has a need to know or otherwise access Personal Data to enable Processor to perform their obligations under this Addendum or the Agreement.

  • temporary resident means a person who, in accordance with standards prescribed in rules adopted by the registrar, resides in this state on a temporary basis.

  • Designated Employees means a person occupying any of the following position in the Company:

  • Excluded Employees shall have the meaning set forth in Section 5.1.2.

  • Excluded Employee means an employee as defined in section 3527, subd. (b) of the Government Code (Ralph C. Dills Act) except those excluded employees who are designated managerial pursuant to section 18801.1 of the Government Code.

  • Temporary housing means any tent, trailer, motor home, or other structure used for human shelter which is designed to be transportable and which is not attached to the ground, to another structure, or to any utilities system on the same premises for more than thirty (30) days.

  • Active Employees means all employees employed on the Closing Date by Seller for its business who are employed exclusively in Seller’s business as currently conducted, including employees on temporary leave of absence, including family medical leave, military leave, temporary disability or sick leave, but excluding employees on long-term disability leave.
