Payday means the regular and recurring established day for payment of Compensation to an Employee of the Company or any Designated Subsidiary.
Payroll means total salaries and wages before deducting any personal or dependency exemptions.
Regular Full-Time Employee means an employee who is appointed to a regularly scheduled position and is regularly scheduled to work full-time in accordance with Article 14 (Hours of Work and Scheduling). A regular full-time employee is entitled to all of the benefits outlined in the agreement except where otherwise specified.
Payroll deduction means your premium is remitted to Aflac for you by your employer through a payroll deduction process or any other method agreed to by Aflac and the employer.
Permanent full-time employee means a person who is appointed to work the full ordinary hours of work each week (as defined) and who is appointed as such in accordance with section 37(3)(a) of the State Service Act 2000.
Payroll Period means "payroll period" as defined in Section 3401(b) of the Internal Revenue Code;
Annual payroll means the total amount of wages subject to contributions during a twelve-month period ending with the last day of the second calendar quarter of any calendar year.
Monthly salary means the gross amount paid to a participant making a claim under s. 40.65, at the time he or she becomes disabled within the meaning of s. 40.65 (4), by the employer in whose employ the injury occurred or the disease was contracted. Overtime pay may not be considered part of an employee’s monthly salary unless the employee received it on a regular and dependable basis.
Regular Part-Time Employee means an employee who is appointed to a regularly scheduled position but works less than full-time. A regular part-time employee is entitled to all benefits outlined in the agreement on a pro rata basis, except where otherwise specified.
Separation Date has the meaning set forth in the Separation Agreement.
Leave Salary means the monthly amount paid by the University to an employee who is on leave.
Pay Period means a two (2) calendar week period beginning on a Sunday and ending on the second Saturday thereafter.
lump sum payment period means the period measured in weeks of salary, for which payment has been made to facilitate the transition to retirement or to other employment as a result of the implementation of various programs to reduce the size of the Public Service. The lump sum payment period does not include the period of severance pay, which is measured in a like manner.
Payroll card means a record that evidences a
Retirement Date means the date as of which a Participant retires for reasons other than Total and Permanent Disability, whether such retirement occurs on a Participant's Normal Retirement Date or Late Retirement Date (see Section 6.1).
Payroll Deduction Account means the bookkeeping account established for a Participant in accordance with Section 6.
Normal salary means the salary that would be paid to a participating employee if that person was not participating in a Plan and includes salary expressed as an annual rate, fortnightly rate, weekly rate, daily rate or hourly rate. It includes all allowances that are paid as an annual rate, fortnightly rate, weekly rate, daily rate or hourly rate but not overtime payments and shift work penalty rates unless they are paid as a component of an annualised rate.
Separation Payment means any lump sum cash payment in excess of Earned Salary and Accrued Obligations payable to Employee under this Agreement.
Public benefit means making capital available, or facilitating the availability of capital, to businesses in this state that have 750 or fewer employees, the intent of which is to create or retain employment opportunities for residents of this state, stabilize or increase the tax base of this state, or support the redevelopment of facilities for use by small businesses.
Employee Contribution means any contribution made to the Plan by or on behalf of a Participant that is included in the Participant's gross income in the year in which made and that is maintained under a separate account to which earnings and losses are allocated.
Plan Period means the period designated in Section 4.
Full-time employee means an employee who is normally required to work the basic hours of work.
Deferral Year means each calendar year during which the Trustee makes, or is entitled to make, Compensation Deferrals under Section 3 hereof.
Monthly Base Salary means 1/12th of the greater of (i) Executive’s annual base salary (excluding incentive pay, premium pay, commissions, overtime, bonuses and other forms of variable compensation) as in effect on the date of a Change in Control Termination or a Covered Termination, as applicable, or (ii) in the case of a Change in Control Termination, Executive’s annual base salary (excluding incentive pay, premium pay, commissions, overtime, bonuses and other forms of variable compensation) as in effect on the date of a Change in Control.
Salary range is the range of rates between, and including, the minimum and maximum rate currently authorized for the class;
Weeks pay means the ordinary time rate of pay for the employee concerned.
