Mobile Home or Manufactured Home definition

Mobile Home or Manufactured Home means a single or multiple section dwelling (conforming to CSA certified standards) designed to be transported on its own wheels and chassis or to be towed or carried to a mobile home district, and may be supported on wood blocking, concrete piers or a permanent foundation, and is designed to be connected to service utilities so as to be suitable for permanent residential occupancy. This use does not include RTM’s, travel trailers, truck campers, fifth wheels or motor homes.
Mobile Home or Manufactured Home means any structure designed or used as a permanent residence, built on a permanent chassis, and transportable to site of placement in one or more sections.
Mobile Home or Manufactured Home means a movable dwelling unit designed and constructed (not constructed on site) for permanent occupancy by a single family which contains permanent eating, cooking, sleeping and sanitary facilities, which is designed to be moved by axles and wheels forming a part of such unit (which axles and wheels may, however, be removed while the unit is at rest) and which units are manufactured with complete plumbing and electrical systems ready for hook up. MOBILE HOME or MANUFACTURED HOME shall not be deemed to include a travel trailer, motor home, 5th wheel, camper, or any kind of recreational vehicle or “homemade” dwelling.

Mobile Home or Manufactured Home means a movable detached single family dwelling unit with all the following characteristics: (a) designed for long term occupancy, and containing sleeping accommodations, a flush toilet ,a tub or shower bath and kitchen facilities, with plumbing and electrical connections provided for attachment to outside systems; (b) designed and constructed on a chassis that is capable of being transported after fabrication on its own wheels or detachable wheels bearing a label certifying it is built in compliance with Federal Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C.-501) which became effective June 15, 1976; ( c) arrive at a site where it is to be occupied as a dwelling complete and ready for occupancy except for minor incidental unpacking and assembly operations, installed by a Licensed Installer, connections to utilities, and (d) not required to be placed on a foundation. (Does not refer to travel trailers, truck campers, camping trailers, or similar units designed for recreation or other short term use.)
