Medically Necessary Leave of Absence definition

Medically Necessary Leave of Absence means a Leave of Absence by a full-time student Dependent at a postsecondary educational institution that:
Medically Necessary Leave of Absence means any change in enrollment at the post-secondary school that begins while the child is suffering from a serious illness or injury, is medically necessary, and causes the child to lose student status for purposes of coverage under the Plan.
Medically Necessary Leave of Absence means a leave of absence from a post-secondary educational institution (or change in enrollment status in that institution) that: (1) begins while the child is suffering from a serious illness or injury, (2) is medically necessary, and (3) causes the child to lose student status as defined under our plan.

More Definitions of Medically Necessary Leave of Absence

Medically Necessary Leave of Absence means a Leave of Absence by a full-time student Dependent at a postsecondary educational institution that meets all of the following requirements:
Medically Necessary Leave of Absence means any leave of absence or other change in enrollment from the educational institution, such as a change to part-time student status, that begins while the Dependent child is suffering from a serious Illness or Injury, and that causes the child to lose full-time student status for purposes of continued eligibility under this Plan.
Medically Necessary Leave of Absence means a leave of absence of a dependent child from a postsecondary educational institution, including an institution of higher education as defined in Section 102 of the Higher Education Act of 1965, or any other change in enrollment of the child at such an institution, that:
Medically Necessary Leave of Absence means with respect to a dependent child in connection with a group health plan or health insurance coverage offered in connection with a group health plan, a leave of absence from or other change in enrollment status in a postsecondary educational institution that begins while the child is suffering from a serious illness or injury; is medically necessary; and causes the child to lose student status for purposes of coverage under the terms of the plan or coverage.
Medically Necessary Leave of Absence means a leave of absence of a Dependent Child from a postsecondary educational institution (including an institution of higher education as described in Section 102 of the Higher Education Act of 1965), or any other change in enrollment of such child at such an institution, that: • Commences while such Dependent Child is suffering from a serious illness or injury;• Is medically necessary; and• Causes such Dependent Child to lose student status for purposes of coverage under the Group Medical Coverage Feature. No leave is of absence (or other change of enrollment) shall be considered a Medically Necessary Leave of Absence unless the Plan receives written certification by a treating physician of the Dependent Child that the Dependent Child is suffering from a serious illness or injury and that the leave of absence (or other change of enrollment) is medically necessary.
Medically Necessary Leave of Absence means a leave of absence from a post-secondary educational institution (or change in enrollment status in that institution) that: (1) begins while the child is suffering from a serious illness or injury, (2) is medically necessary, and (3) causes the child to lose student status as defined under our plan. The coverage continuation is available for up to one year after the first day of the medically necessary leave of absence and is the same coverage your child would have had if your child had continued to be a covered student and not needed to take a medical leave of absence.
