The supercompressibility factor shall be determined in accordance with either the “Manual for Determination of Supercompressibility Factors for Natural Gas” (PAR Project NX-19) published in 1962 or with American Gas Association Transmission Measurement Committee Report No. 8, Nov.
The gas shall be measured in accordance with methods in use in the industry generally and recommended by the Gas Measurement Committee of the Natural Gas Department of the American Gas Association, applied in a practical manner.
Orifice Meters - When orifice meters are used for the measurement of gas, such orifice meters shall be constructed and installed, and the computations of volume made, in accordance with the provisions of Gas Measurement Committee Report No. 3 of the American Gas Association as revised September, 1969 (A.G.A. Report No. 3), with any subsequent amendments or revisions which may be mutually acceptable.
Basic orifice coefficients used in the calculation of gas flow shall be those contained in the American Gas Association's Gas Measurement Committee Report Number 1 and Number 2, or some other basic orifice coefficients generally accepted in the industry and approved by the Department of Conservation, such as those published by the Foxboro Company, American Meter Company, and Pittsburg Equitable Meter Company.
Orifice meters shall be installed and operated, and gas quantities computed, in accordance with Report No. 3 of the Gas Measurement Committee of the American Gas Association, as amended, expanded or superseded from time to time, applied in a practical and appropriate manner.
The Measurement Committee may approve a modification after it has been commenced where the Competitor has otherwise complied with the Rules and the Measurement Committee is satisfied that failure to obtain approval was inadvertent.
One or more measurers may carry out measurement, inspection or other duties on behalf of the Measurement Committee.
Orifice meters, if used, shall be installed and operated, and volumes computed, in accordance with the latest version of the American Gas Association Gas Measurement Committee Report and Appendices thereto, and such amendments thereof as measuring party may place in use on its system for transactions of this type.
Quantities of borings required shall be in accordance with Chapter 6 of this manual.
