Examples of Franchise Authority in a sentence
Upon ninety (90) days written notice, any additions of territory to the Franchise Authority, by annexation or other legal means, contiguous to the Franchise Area, shall thereafter be subject to all the terms of this Agreement as though it were an extension made hereunder related to the Cable System located or operated within said territory.
No provision of this Franchise Agreement shall be amended or otherwise modified, in whole or in part, except by an instrument, in writing, duly executed by the Franchise Authority and the Franchisee, which amendment shall be authorized on behalf of the Franchise Authority through the adoption of an appropriate resolution or order by the Franchise Authority, as required by applicable law.
If the Franchise Authority determines that it is necessary for it to employ separate counsel, the costs for such separate counsel shall be the responsibility of the Franchise Authority.
The Franchise Authority agrees that it will take all necessary action to avoid a default judgment and not prejudice the Franchisee’s ability to defend the claim or action.
Such public hearing shall be held at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Franchise Authority that is scheduled at a time that is no less than ten (10) business days therefrom.
