Cable Service. The Contractor shall make arrangements with the current MassDOT contract vendor to provide cable service at the signal master controller location. The cable service shall be installed in such a way as to allow the master controller to communicate with MassDOT District 6 via the cable modem. If contract vendor service is not locally available another provider may be utilized upon approval of the Engineer. The Contractor shall coordinate the installation of the cable service between the master controller cabinet and the cable utility source using existing signal conduit and according to specifications of the cable company. Cable service components shall be completely separate and isolated from the electrical service for the traffic signal controller cabinet.
