European Firearms Pass definition

European Firearms Pass means a document issued by the competent authority of a member State in accordance with the relevant provisions of Council Directive 91/477/ EEC of 18 June 1991 on control of the acquitition and possession of weapons;
European Firearms Pass means a document that proves the ownership and the right for the firearm to be used by the pass holder that is not transferable to another person and it shall be with the holder the entire time s/he uses the weapon.”
European Firearms Pass means an official certifying document, issued by the competent authorities of a member state on the request of a person who possesses a permit for carrying and using firearms when crossing from the territory of one member state to another one. The European Pass contains a number, validity term, personal information on the person, identification data of the firearm, date and validity term of the permit for carrying and use as well as information on prohibitions and permission regime for the arms specified in the pass in the respective member states.

  • In the case of travel by air, the European Firearms Pass shall be produced to the competent authorities where the relevant items are handed over to the airline for transport out of the customs territory of the Union.

European Firearms Pass means a certificate issued by the authorities in an EU Member State as referred to in Article 1(4) of Council Directive 91/477/EEC on control of the acquisition and possession of weapons, hereafter the Firearms Directive, showing that the person named in the certificate has in that State the right to possess the firearms, firearm components, cartridges and specially dangerous projectiles entered in the pass. For the purposes of this Act, with regard to firearms, firearm components, cartridges and specially dangerous projectiles:1) import means their transport to Finland from a country other than an EU Member State;2) export means their transport from Finland to a country other than an EU Member State;3) transfer means their transport from one EU Member State to another;4) transit means their transport from a country other than an EU Member State, via Finland, to a country other than an EU Member State.
European Firearms Pass means a document to which the holder of a certificate under this Act is entitled by virtue of section 32A(1)(a) of this Act;
European Firearms Pass means a document certifying that an arm is possessed by a person and granting the right to bring the said arm as well as ammunition for it into the EU Member States.
