ELU definition

ELU means “equated load units” and is used in determining FTE. See Article 19 (Workload), Section B.
ELU means the greenstone belt to the east of the Hope Bay claims comprising 68,473 hectares, an area of 685 km2, and approximately 80 km by 10 km in extent.
ELU means a greenstone belt to the east of the Hope Bay claims covering 31,259 hectares. In June 2016, TMAC staked the extension of the Elu greenstone belt, comprising 37,214 hectares, thereby linking the Elu claims with the Hope Bay claims. Examples of ELU in a sentence

  • A faculty member receiving additional ELU loading under this provision will report on the outcome(s) of work performed for the additional loading as part of the Faculty Professional Annual Report (FPAR).

  • ELU may fluctuate from term to term, but must total the correct amount for the faculty member’s rank.

  • Any additional ELU awarded shall be proportional to the anticipated additional effort required (equivalent to approximately 35 hours for the term).
