Earned Income definition

Earned Income means the same as that term is defined in § 32(c) of the Internal Revenue Code. The
Earned Income means earned income as defined under Code Section 32(c)(2), but excluding such amounts paid or incurred by the Employer for dependent care assistance to the Participant.
Earned Income means all income derived from wages, salaries, tips, self-employment, and other Compensation (such as disability or wage continuation benefits), but only if such amounts are includible in gross income for the taxable year. Earned income does not include (a) any amounts received pursuant to any DCAP established under Code section 129; or (b) any other amounts excluded from earned income under Code section 32(c)(2), such as amounts received under a pension or annuity or pursuant to workers' compensation.

Earned Income means net earnings from self-employment in the trade or business with respect to which the Plan is established for which the personal services of the individual are a material income-producing factor. Net earnings shall be determined without regard to items not included in gross income and the deductions allocable to such items. Net earnings shall be reduced by contributions by the Employer to a qualified plan to the extent deductible under Code Section 404.
