Discovered RNAi Compound definition

Discovered RNAi Compound means an RNAi Compound directed to a Selected Target that is Discovered during the course of a program under the Novartis Agreement, together with all derivatives of such RNAi Compound, where “derivative” means a compound that may contain modified nucleotides or may have been modified by chemical or molecular genetic means but which still, at least in vitro, functions through an RNAi mechanism against the same Target.
Discovered RNAi Compound means an RNAi Compound directed to a Selected Target that is Discovered during the course of an Active Program (excluding Abandoned Programs that do not become Active Programs pursuant to Sections 2.3(b) or 2.6(c)) together with all derivatives of such RNAi Compound. For purposes of this definition, "derivative" shall mean a compound that may contain modified nucleotides or may have been modified by chemical or molecular genetic means but which still, at least in vitro, functions through an RNAi mechanism against the same Target.
