Exempt compound definition
Exempt compound means the same as defined in Rule 2.
Exempt compound or "Exempt solvent" means an organic compound listed in the definition of volatile organic compound as not participating in atmospheric photochemical reactions.
Exempt compound means any carbon-containing compound listed as an exemption to the definition of volatile organic compound (VOC) in Part 0 of this Subchapter (General Definitions).

Exempt compound means acetone, ethane, methyl acetate, parachlorobenzotrifluoride (1-chloro-4-trifluoromethyl benzene), or perchloroethylene (tetrachloroethylene).
