Working on Days of Rest. If an employee works on their first day of rest, the employee shall be paid at one and one-half (1-1/2) times the hourly rate of pay for the classification in which the overtime is performed. If the employee then works on their second or more days of rest, the employee shall be paid two (2) times the hourly rate of pay for the classification in which the overtime is performed. The provisions of the NB Employment Standards Act, regarding the number of days worked sequentially, will apply. Any employee who works any hours on the above-mentioned days shall receive no less than four (4) hours pay at the applicable overtime rate as indicated above.

  • Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest (a) When a paid holiday falls on an employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.
