Voluntary Leave Bank. Established by this Agreement is a Xxxxxx Police Department Leave Bank Policy for all commissioned members of the City of Xxxxxx Police Department represented by the Union. This Policy is attached hereto as Addendum B. The Policy, as attached, may be amended from time to time during the term of this Agreement by the mutual consent of the Chief of Police and the Union President.

Voluntary Leave Bank. A. The voluntary leave bank a/k/a the Lawton Police Department Leave Bank will be closed, effective July 1, 2021. After July 1, 2021 no additional leave will be donated to the leave bank. Existing leave as of June 7, 2021 in the approximate amount of 1913.8777 hours will be allowed to remain in the bank until it is exhausted. As a result of the closure of the leave bank the Lawton Police Department Leave Bank Policy, which was attached hereto as Addendum B, will be phased out.

  • Voluntary Layoff Appointing authorities will allow an employee in the same job classification and department where layoffs will occur to volunteer to be laid off provided that the employee is in a position requiring the same skills and abilities, as a position subject to layoff. Any volunteer for layoff shall have no formal layoff option. If the appointing authority accepts the employee’s voluntary request for layoff, the employee will submit a non-revocable letter stating they are accepting a voluntary layoff from the University. The employee will be placed on all applicable rehire lists.

  • Leave Bank The Employer agrees to begin exploration of creating and maintaining an account or mechanism to permit donation of Paid Time Off hours from members of the bargaining unit to bargaining unit employees who are on family or medical leave and who have exhausted or are projected to exhaust their accrued leave before they are able to return to work.

  • Discretionary Leave 7.7.1 The employer may, where there are special circumstances, xxxxx discretionary leave with or without pay to any principal during periods when the school is officially open for instruction, provided that such leave does not unreasonably impinge upon the operational requirements of the school. Before approving any discretionary leave, the employer shall ensure that the granting of such leave complies with any funding arrangements applying to the school in respect of such leave.

  • Sick Leave Bank 22.1 The purpose of this Sick Leave Bank is to provide a bank of sick leave hours from which a member may draw in case of extended absences due to illness/disability which renders the member incapable of working.

  • Military Leave An employee will be granted unpaid Military Leave in accordance with the Employment Standards Act. The employee will give as much notice as is reasonably possible and will provide a copy of the Military Notice when received.

  • Voluntary Demotions For purposes of this Section, the term “opening” shall apply to any permanent vacancy in a classification. An employee may vacate from his current classification once per year given there is an opening and the employee is qualified to perform in the lower classification to which the employee has requested a demotion. The Department will assign voluntarily demoted employees beginning with the next employee pay cycle. Employees will have thirty (30) days to certify for position openings. No employee shall be displaced from the Department through a voluntary demotion. Employees who voluntarily demote to a lower classification will be placed in the new payline for the lower classification based on their years of service in the lower classification. Employees that voluntarily demote to the classification of Firefighter will receive credit for total time spent in the Department when being placed on that payline.

  • Military Leave of Absence Upon application, a military leave of absence without pay will be granted to employees who are inducted through Selective Service or voluntary enlistment, or those called through membership in the National Guard or reserve component into the Armed Forces of the United States. Credited service for military service shall be determined by the retirement plan.
