Vacation Credits Upon Termination or Retirement. An employee leaving the Public Service for any reason shall be paid for earned but unused vacation entitlement. An employee scheduled to retire and to receive a superannuation allowance under the Pension (Public Service) Act or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service; however, employees shall not receive vacation entitlement for more than one year subsequent to the last year in which they were actively at work. The Employer will make every effort to make this payment on the employee's last working day, but in any case will not delay payment beyond the time limitation imposed by the Employment Standards Act.
