Common use of Unpaid Medical Leave Clause in Contracts

Unpaid Medical Leave. A Bargaining Unit Member who runs out of sick leave shall be granted an unpaid leave of absence for the duration of the illness or disability. An unpaid leave of absence may be granted for those eligible pursuant to Article 13-1-i. Other serious family illness shall be allowed with the recommendation of the supervisor and approval of the Superintendent.

Unpaid Medical Leave. A Pursuant to Article 13-1, a Bargaining Unit Member who runs out of sick leave shall be granted an unpaid leave of absence for the duration of the a personal illness or disability. An unpaid leave of absence may be granted for those all eligible bargaining unit members pursuant to Article 13-1-i. Other serious family illness shall be allowed with the recommendation of the supervisor and approval of the Superintendent. The bargaining unit member would be required to submit a LWP/LWOP request form.
