TRANSFERABLE SKILLS. The University is committed to provide research students with the skills and training required not only for a traditional academic career but for the variety of careers to which they aspire. As described above opportunities are being created for research students to carry out projects with partners outside of academia and to experience research in an international setting. Research degree candidates also need to be equipped to enter the workforce with skills well beyond a technical focus on a specific research topic. In 2013 a new generic/transferable skills statement was developed for research students and following on from this the provision of our researcher education program is being aligned with this statement. This new program will be trialled in 2013 and then used in modified format if required in the years beyond. UC continues to collaborate with ANU in the highly successful InnovationACT program, a joint program with the ACT Government to develop innovation and entrepreneurial skills in postgraduate students. HDR students are encouraged to participate in this program which not only supports the development of these skills but also provides opportunity to make contact with local business people and entrepreneurs. In addition, the University is committed to supporting Indigenous HDR students. In particular, the University will undertake the following activities to ensure appropriate access, participation and outcomes for Indigenous people:

  • Specialized Skills Each certificated support person demonstrates in his/her performance a competent level of skill and knowledge in designing and conducting specialized programs of prevention, instruction, remediation and evaluation.

  • Management skills (i) These positions require skills in managing time, setting priorities and planning and organising one’s own work and that of supervised employees so as to achieve specific and set objectives in the most efficient way possible within the resources available and within a set timetable.

  • SPECIAL SKILLS Five percent (5%) of the employees (not less than one person) to be laid off within a class within an agency shall be exempt from the seniority factor when the State determines that there is a need for special skills. “Special skills” refers to jobs difficult to fill with a replacement except after extensive training. Where practical, the State will attempt to meets its “special skills” requirements be exempting the employees with the highest seniority among employees with the same special skills. Management decisions on special skills shall be subject to expedited arbitration provided, however, that no back pay remedy shall accrue to any individual employee.

  • RESIDENCY RIGHTS NEITHER SHARABLE NOR TRANSFERABLE BY RESIDENTS Residence accommodations, including bedroom space, shared common areas (such as living rooms and bathrooms) and shared community facilities (such as floor community rooms and laundries) may only be occupied by the resident to whom the room is assigned. Residence accommodations shall not be shared with any other individual not officially assigned to that residence by UCF DHRL, and may not be sublet, assigned, or in any way transferred by the Student.

  • Professional Skill It is mutually agreed by the parties that City is relying upon the professional skill of the consultant as a specialist in the work, and Consultant represents to the City that its work shall conform to the normal professional standards of the profession. Acceptance of the Consultant's work by the City does not operate as a release of Consultant's representations. It is intended that Consultant's work shall conform to normal standards of accuracy, completeness and coordination.

  • Multi-Skilling 37.1 Subject to appropriate qualifications, training and taking into account a Teacher’s long term career path opportunities, the Employer may transfer Teachers to teach their Approved Program in part or in whole in another location or discipline other than the one to which they currently belong.

  • Non-Transferable The Grantee may not transfer this Option except by will or the laws of descent and distribution. This Option shall not be otherwise transferred, assigned, pledged, hypothecated or disposed of in any way, whether by operation of law or otherwise, and shall be exercisable during the Grantee's lifetime only by the Grantee or his guardian or legal representative.

  • Specialist knowledge and skills Indicative but not exclusive tasks include: the undertaking of semi-skilled work, including cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, washing and ironing, shopping, sweeping paths, minor maintenance jobs, preparation and cooking of meals, defrosting refrigerators, emptying and cleaning of commodes, banking and account payment, organising appointments, assistance with care of pets, and care of indoor and outdoor pot plants.

  • Apprenticeships and Skills 6.1 The Authority will review the Contractor’s Apprenticeships and Skills Report when submitted by the Contractor in accordance with the Schedule (Apprenticeships and Skills Requirements) and then annually thereafter.

  • Investment Entity Wholly Owned by Exempt Beneficial Owners An Entity that is a Jersey Financial Institution solely because it is an Investment Entity, provided that each direct holder of an Equity Interest in the Entity is an exempt beneficial owner, and each direct holder of a debt interest in such Entity is either a Depository Institution (with respect to a loan made to such Entity) or an exempt beneficial owner.
