TARRING. 200gm of unslaked lime shall be added to every litre of crude coal tar for general use conforming to IS: 212-1983 and heated till it begins to boil. It shall then be taken off the fire and kerosene oil added to it slowly at the rate of one part kerosene oil to six or more parts of coal tar by volume, and stirred thoroughly. The surface shall be cleaned of all dirt and dust and then coal tar or coal tar paint applied evenly at the specified rate and well brushed in so that there is no hungry patches and holidays.
TARRING. All employees tarring sheet piling, steel tie rods, structural timber and bolts for wharf construction or maintenance will be paid 1.13 cents per day or portion of a day above their ordinary rate of pay for every day upon which they are so employed for at least a continuous period of two hours.

  • Blasting Blasting shall be permitted only for road construction purposes unless advance permission is obtained from Forest Service. Whenever the Industrial Fire Precaution Level is II or greater, a fire security person equipped with a long handled round point No. 0 or larger shovel and a 5 gallon backpack pump can filled with water, will stay at location of blast for 1 hour after blasting is done.
