SOCIAL, ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES AND PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT. (Function Code 120) – As specified in work authorizations to be issued under this contract; the Engineer shall perform the following work and provide the following listed deliverables in accordance with the associated standards. This task shall involve conducting environmental studies and providing corridor program support during the environmental project development process. This task shall include but not be limited to work to prepare and process environmental review and decision documents, conduct technical environmental studies, assemble and maintain the technical support data file/administrative record, and coordinate with federal, state, and local resource agencies, cooperating agencies, and participating agencies, as appropriate, to support the State in advancing projects of all modes through the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Texas environmental project development process. In addition, this task shall include development of public involvement plans and materials; coordination with citizen committees, working groups, and stakeholders; supporting the State in conducting public outreach activities and responding to agency and public comments; and preparation of study documentation and other corridor development support services specified by the State related to the various transportation systems. The Engineer shall provide for the submission of project plans, schedules, outlines, studies, including early and late drafts, together with fulfilling the requirement that TxDOT comments and other substantive comments generated during the NEPA process be addressed.   • Cooperation on forestry matters and environmental protection 1. The aims of cooperation on forestry matters and environmental protection will be, but not limited to, as follows: (a) establishing bilateral cooperation relations in the forestry sector; (b) developing a training program and studies for sustainable management of forests; (c) improving the rehabilitation and sustainable management of forest with the aim of increasing carbon sinks and reduce the impact of climate change in the Asia-Pacific region; (d) cooperating on the execution of national projects, aimed at: improving the management of forest plantations for its transformation for industrial purposes and environmental protection; (e) elaborating studies on sustainable use of timber; (f) developing new technologies for the transformation and processing of timber and non-timber species; and (g) improving cooperation in agro-forestry technologies. 2. To achieve the objectives of the Article 149 (Objectives), the Parties may focus, as a means of cooperation and negotiations on concluding a bilateral agreement on forestry cooperation between the two Parties. Such collaboration will be as follows: (a) exchanges on science and technology as well as policies and laws relating the sustainable use of forest resources; (b) cooperation in training programs, internships, exchange of experts and projects advisory; (c) advice and technical assistance to public institutions and organizations of the Parties on sustainable use of forest resources and environmental protection; (d) facilitating forest policy dialogue and technical cooperation under the Network of Sustainable Forest Management and Forest Rehabilitation in Asia- Pacific Region, initiated at the 15th Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Meeting; (e) encouraging joint studies, working visits, exchange of experiences, among others; and (f) others activities mutually agreed.

  • Compliance with Federal and State Work Authorization and Immigration Laws The Contractor and all subcontractors, suppliers and consultants must comply with all federal and state work authorization and immigration laws, and must certify compliance using the form set forth in Section 7 (“Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act Affidavits”). The required certificates must be filed with the Owner and copied maintained by the Contractor as of the beginning date of this contract and each subcontract, supplier contract, or consultant contract, and upon final payment to the subcontractor or consultant. State officials, including officials of the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts, officials of the Owner, retain the right to inspect and audit the Project Site and employment records of the Contractor, subcontractors and consultants without notice during normal working hours until Final Completion, and as otherwise specified by law and by Rules and Regulations of the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts.

  • Health, Safety and Environment 41.1 In the performance of this Contract, Contractor and Operator shall conduct Petroleum Operations with due regard to health, safety and the protection of the environment (“HSE”) and the conservation of natural resources, and shall in particular:

  • COMPLIANCE WITH HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS The Contractor, it’s Subcontractors, and their respective employees, shall comply fully with all applicable federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental laws, ordinances, rules and regulations in the performance of the services, including but not limited to those promulgated by the City and by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). In case of conflict, the most stringent safety requirement shall govern. The Contractor shall indemnify and hold the City harmless from and against all claims, demands, suits, actions, judgments, fines, penalties and liability of every kind arising from the breach of the Contractor’s obligations under this paragraph.

  • Social and Environmental Responsibility Supplier warrants that in all countries in which Supplier and, to Supplier’s information and belief, Supplier’s authorized subcontractors do business, its and their operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing labor and employment, employee health and safety, protection of the environment, and ethical practices. Supplier will comply with DXC Supplier Code of Conduct (xxxxx://xxx.xxx.xxxxxxxxxx/cr/ds/118945- csc_responsible_supply_chain_program), including establishment of management systems as described therein.

  • Studies and Reports All copies in the Seller’s possession of studies and/or reports which have previously been performed in connection with or for the Property, including without limitation, environmental reports, soils studies, seismic studies, physical inspection reports, site plans and surveys, and identification of such studies of which the Seller is aware but that are not in their possession;

  • Human and Financial Resources to Implement Safeguards Requirements 10. The Borrower shall make available or cause the State and the DISCOMs to make available necessary budgetary and human resources to fully implement the EMP, the RP and any IPP.

  • Information and Reporting The Adviser shall provide the Trust and its respective officers with such periodic reports concerning the obligations the Adviser has assumed under this Agreement as the Trust may from time to time reasonably request.
