SICK TIME, LEAVE OF ABSENCE. 10.00 (a) Sick Leave is an indemnity benefit and not an acquired right. A Nurse who is absent from a scheduled shift on approved sick leave shall only be entitled to sick leave pay if the Nurse is not otherwise receiving pay for that day, and providing the Nurse has sufficient sick leave credits. Paid sick leave shall accumulate and be granted to Full-Time Nurses at the rate of 11.25 hours for each one hundred and sixty-three (163) Regular Hours Paid. The maximum amount of accumulation shall be nine hundred (900) hours. A Regular Part-Time Nurse shall receive the benefits in proportion to those of Full-Time Nurses based on Regular hours paid.

  • LEAVE OF ABSENCE With respect to the Award, the Company may, in its sole discretion, determine that if you are on leave of absence for any reason you will be considered to still be in the employ of, or providing services for, the Company, provided that rights to the Restricted Shares during a leave of absence will be limited to the extent to which those rights were earned or vested when the leave of absence began.

  • Unpaid Leave of Absence If an employee is on an unpaid leave of absence, then vacation leave, compensatory time, or sick leave cannot be used for the purpose of maintaining eligibility for an Employer Contribution by keeping the employee on a State payroll for one (1) working day per pay period.
