Benefit Continuation. You and your then eligible dependents shall continue to be covered by and participate in the group health and dental care plans (collectively, “Health Plans”) of the Company (at the Company’s cost) in which you participated, or were eligible to participate, immediately prior to the Date of Termination through the end of the Benefit Continuation Period; provided, however, that any medical or dental welfare benefit otherwise receivable by you hereunder shall be reduced to the extent that you become covered under a group health or dental care plan providing comparable medical and health benefits. You shall be eligible to participate in such Health Plans on terms that are at least as favorable as those in effect immediately prior to the Date of Termination. However, in the event that the terms of the Company’s Health Plans do not permit you to participate in those plans (other than pursuant to an election under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (“COBRA”)), in lieu of your and your eligible dependent’s coverage and participation under the Company’s Health Plans, the Company shall pay to you within fifteen (15) calendar days after the effective date of the Waiver and Release a lump sum equal to two (2) times your monthly COBRA premium amount for the number of months remaining in the Benefit Continuation Period. In addition, for the purposes of coverage under COBRA, your COBRA event date will be the date of loss of coverage described in this paragraph above.

Benefit Continuation. (a) For leaves taken pursuant to Articles 21.1, 21.2 and 21.3, the Employer shall maintain coverage for medical, extended health, dental, group life and long term disability, and shall pay the Employer's share of these premiums.
Benefit Continuation. During an unpaid leave of absence, the employee shall be carried on the payroll on inactive status and, at his discretion, may make arrangements with the Department of Finance to continue the group health benefits at the employee’s expense. Employees shall not accrue any leave time until they return to active pay status. The Board shall have no obligation to provide insurance benefits during an unpaid leave of absence.
Benefit Continuation. Provided Executive is eligible for COBRA coverage, and has not been terminated from employment for Cause or resigned without Good Reason, then the Company shall pay the Executive’s COBRA premiums commencing on the date of the Executive’s termination of employment and continuing for the applicable Continuation Period in order to continue Executive’s health insurance coverage and maintain such coverage in effect; provided that following the end of the COBRA continuation period, if Executive’s health insurance coverage is provided under a health plan that is subject to Code Section 105(h), benefits payable under such health plan shall comply with the requirements of Treasury Regulation Section 1.409A-3(i)(1)(iv) and, if necessary, the Company shall amend such health plan to comply therewith.
Benefit Continuation. During the Salary Continuation Period, Teradyne shall arrange or provide for continued health, dental and vision insurance plan coverage for the Employee at the same levels of coverage in existence prior to the Termination Event subject to Teradyne and Employee each contributing to the applicable insurance premium payments on the same basis and in the same proportions as in existence at the date of the Termination Event. If the Employee is not eligible for continued health, dental and vision insurance plan coverage for any portion of the twenty-four (24) month period defined herein, Teradyne shall provide or reimburse Employee for comparable individual insurance and, if such provision or reimbursement constitutes taxable income to the Employee, such additional amount as is necessary to place the Employee in substantially the same after tax position as he was while an employee of Teradyne with respect to such insurance plan coverages. All other benefits, including but not limited to flex/vacation time accrual, short and long term disability insurance, life insurance, contributions (including company matches) into savings plan and “savings plan plus”, profit sharing payments and participation in the Employee stock purchase plan shall cease as of the date of the Termination Event. To the extent that amounts paid by Teradyne to provide the benefits under this paragraph (f) are deemed to be deferred compensation subject to Section 409A, then such payments shall be made monthly and any payment to preserve the Employee’s after tax position shall be made within 60 days after the end of each calendar year in which the taxable provision or reimbursement occurs.
Benefit Continuation. Subject to subsections (h) and (i) below and Section 4, if the Eligible Employee incurs a Severance during the Change in Control Protection Period, commencing on the date immediately following such Eligible Employee’s Severance Date and continuing for 18 months (or such lesser time as required to avoid the imposition of additional taxes under Section 409A of the Code) (the “Welfare Benefit Continuation Period”), the Company shall cover the Eligible Employee under the same type of Employer-sponsored group health plan and dental plan (e.g., individual or family coverage) and group life insurance in which he was covered as of his Severance Date. The Eligible Employee shall receive such continued coverage under the same terms and conditions (e.g., any requirement that employees pay all or any portion of the cost of such coverage) that would apply if the Eligible Employee had continued to be an employee of the Employer during the Welfare Benefit Continuation Period. For each month during the Welfare Benefit Continuation Period in which the Eligible Employee’s continued coverage under an insured plan is not possible, the Company shall, in lieu of providing the coverage described in the preceding paragraph, make a monthly cash payment to the Eligible Employee equal to the monthly premium the Employer would be charged for coverage of a similarly-situated employee. The Company shall not be obligated to “gross up” or otherwise compensate the Eligible Employee for any taxes due on amounts paid pursuant to the preceding sentence. Notwithstanding any other provision of this subsection (f), the Company’s obligation to provide continued coverage (or, in lieu thereof, make a cash payment) pursuant to this subsection (f) shall expire on the date the Eligible Employee becomes covered under one or more plans sponsored by a new employer (other than a successor to the Company) that, at the sole discretion of the Administrator, are determined to provide coverage at least equivalent in the aggregate to the benefits continued under this subsection (f). The coverage period for purposes of the group health continuation requirements of Section 4980B of the Code shall commence at the expiration of the Welfare Benefit Continuation Period.
Benefit Continuation. Unit employees who are granted a leave of absence may elect to continue enrollment in the Group Basic and Major Medical Plan (or alternative plan) at the time the leave begins. Such unit employees shall be eligible for continued enrollment during the leave of absence by paying the full amount (100%) of the premium. This provision shall be administered in conjunction with the LTD provisions of Article 24, Section E. Such unit employees may likewise elect to continue enrollment in the Group Dental Plan and/or Group Vision Plan for up to eighteen (18) months by paying the full amount of the premium.

Benefit Continuation. If Executive is entitled to severance payments under either Section 5(a) or 5(b) hereof, the Company shall, at the Company’s expense, for the period ending on the earliest of (A) 18 months following the termination of Executive’s employment with the Company, or (B) the date Executive becomes eligible to be covered under any other group health plan (as an employee or otherwise) that does not contain any exclusion or limitation with respect to any preexisting condition which would actually limit Executive’s coverage under such plan (the “Benefit Continuation Period”), provide medical insurance benefit coverage in coordination with the provisions of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (“COBRA”) by paying directly or reimbursing Executive for the applicable coverage premiums, provided that (i) Executive completes and timely files all necessary COBRA election documentation, which will be sent to Executive after the last day of employment and (ii) Executive continues to make all required premium payments required by COBRA. In the event such premium payments or reimbursements by the Company, by reason of change in the applicable law, may, in the reasonable view of the Company, result in tax or other penalties on the Company or in the event that the Company is otherwise unable to continue to cover Executive under its group health plan or ceases to maintain or participate in a group health plan, this provision shall terminate and Executive and the Company shall, in good faith, negotiate for a substitute provision that would not result in such tax or other penalties or would provide Executive with a comparable benefit or value, as applicable.
Benefit Continuation. While on approved unpaid leave of absence, insurance coverage may be maintained through payment of premium by the employee.
