SICK LEAVE AND ABSENCE CONTROL i) (a) For all employees hired on or after February 1st, 2006 an employee will be eligible to earn sick days according to the following formula:
SICK LEAVE AND ABSENCE CONTROL. (i) Employees in their first year of service will accumulate one twelfth (1/12) of five (5) days as sick days for each completed month of service up to November 30th of that year. Upon completion of one year of service, an Employee shall be eligible for five (5) days sick leave credit per year, payable at their current classified rate.
SICK LEAVE AND ABSENCE CONTROL i) After 60 months service, employees shall be eligible for seven (7) days sick pay per year, payable at their current classified rate. The date for calculating the 60 months service and the classified rate shall be January 31st of each calendar year. Payment in the year of termination or retirement shall be pro-rated on the length of service during that year. The payment date for seven (7) days will be the first pay date in March.

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.
