Section 10.4. Vacation Buy Back. By January 22 of each year, employees who have accrued more than two (2) weeks of vacation may submit a written request to the Village to accept cash for up to 40 hours of unused vacation time, provided that at least two (2) weeks of vacation have been utilized by the employee during the twelve (12) months of the prior calendar year. The payment, if any, shall be paid on a separate check/direct deposit on the first full pay period in February of each year.

  • Vacation Buy Back Employees shall have the option of requesting pay in lieu of time off up to a maximum of 144 hours of vacation time each year, during each year of the contract in increments of eight (8) hrs. Such requests are subject to the approval of the department head and the availability of funds.
