Scholarly and Professional Achievement. (Librarians) Scholarly and professional achievement may include research in an academic subject, archival studies or librarianship; the dissemination of the results of such research; completion of advanced degrees and other relevant educational programs; planning, implementing, or participating in workshops or conferences; participation in scholarly, library, or professional associations; and professional expertise used in service to the community at large as described in the Evaluation Policy of the Libraries.

  • Training and Professional Development C. Maintain written program procedures covering these six (6) core activities. All procedures shall be consistent with the requirements of this Contract.

  • Outside Professional Activities (a) For the purpose of this article, "outside professional activities" means participation in the activities of professional associations, learned societies, faculty associations, or voluntary practice of the employee’s profession, which support and/or promote the advancement of research, scholarship, teaching, artistic creation, or professional development, and improve the working conditions of academic staff.

  • Professional Activities The Superintendent/Principal shall be encouraged to attend appropriate professional meetings at the local, state, and national levels. Within budget constraints, such costs of attendance shall be paid by the Board. The Superintendent/Principal’s attendance at professional meetings at the national level must have prior approval of the Board.

  • Professional Growth Professional growth is the continuous purposeful engagement in study and related activities designed to retain and extend the high standards of classified unit members.

  • Elements Unsatisfactory Needs Improvement Proficient Exemplary IV-A-1. Reflective Practice Demonstrates limited reflection on practice and/or use of insights gained to improve practice. May reflect on the effectiveness of lessons/ units and interactions with students but not with colleagues and/or rarely uses insights to improve practice. Regularly reflects on the effectiveness of lessons, units, and interactions with students, both individually and with colleagues, and uses insights gained to improve practice and student learning.   • Professional Development Leave A. Policy. Professional development leave shall be made available to employees who meet the requirements set forth below. Such leaves are granted to increase an employee's value to the University through enhanced opportunities for professional renewal, educational travel, study, formal education, research, writing, or other experience of professional value, not as a reward for service.

  • Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services are not permitted to be provided under this Agreement. Texas statutes prohibit the procurement of Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services through a cooperative agreement.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with college/district policies and available resources.
