For Cohort 7 the research activities are: Teacher and student surveysSpring 2023 and Spring 2024; 80% response rates required Interviews with principals, coaches, and teachers — Fall 2022 (postponed from Spring 2022), Spring 2023, and Spring 2024 Site visit (if COVID allows) - to include three classroom observations, interviews of six teachers (observed teachers and 3 others), interviews with coach and principal, a focus group with parents, and a focus group with students. The site visit would be a substitute for one of the interview periods above. SBBC Key Research Responsibilities. Teachers, coaches, and administrators in every participating school are expected to assist Digital Promise’s research by completing surveys at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of the school year in every program year. The goal of the surveys is to explore to what extent and in what ways the program is implemented as desired and plays a positive impact on teaching and learning. For Cohort 9, the program years are the 2022-2023 and 2023- 2024 school years. If schools within SBBC are chosen for a two-year extension, participation in research during that time (school years 2024-2025 and 2025-2026) is required as well.
