Retraining and placement. 3.9.1 This clause is to be read in conjunction with Schedule 6 Retraining and placement proceduremedical condition. Assessment for retraining and placement will apply to an employee if they are medically assessed as being unable to perform their substantive role but are able to perform a suitable and available alternative role in accordance with the terms of this clause.

Retraining and placement. 4.1.1 After an employee is advised of changed operational requirements as a result of Organisation Design, a two-week period of support and counselling will be provided. This will include a vocational assessment to determine the employee’s potential for placement and the identification of a role for placement.
Retraining and placement. 4.1.1 Participation in the placement program (retraining and placement) can only occur after a medical determination by a Council doctor that the employee’s condition is stable and stationary, and the employee meets the eligibility criteria listed above.

  • Retraining (a) Where a skill shortage is identified, the employer may offer a surplus employee retraining to meet that skill shortage with financial assistance up to the maintenance of full salary plus appropriate training expenses. It may not be practical to offer retraining to some employees identified as surplus. The employer needs to make decisions on the basis of cost, the availability of appropriate training schemes and the suitability of individuals for retraining.

  • Retraining Leave a. The University President, at her/his discretion, may grant a retraining leave to an employee for the purpose of acquiring new skills or enhancing existing skills for the benefit of the University.
