Public Holidays and Part time employees. In determining whether a part time employee who works a variable roster is entitled to receive Award benefits for a particular public holiday not worked, the Hospital will determine this by reviewing the roster pattern of the individual over the preceding six months. If the rosters show that the employee has worked 50% or more on the days on which a public holiday falls, the employee shall be entitled to receive the rostered off benefit for that public holiday.

Public Holidays and Part time employees. (a) A part-time Employee who is ordinarily required to work on the day on which a public holiday is observed is entitled to payment in accordance with sub-clause 48.6(b). Subject to sub-clauses 48.11(b) and 48.11(c), a part-time Employee who is not ordinarily required to work on the day on which a public holiday is observed shall not be entitled to payment for such public holiday unless they are required to work on that day.

  • Public Holidays 11.1 The following days are public holidays: New Year's Day, Australia Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and any other gazetted public holidays in the relevant state or territory in which the work is being performed, other than:

  • Full-Time and Part-Time Employees (a) The base rates of pay in the appropriate employment classification for full-time employees and for part-time employees shall be the hourly rates of pay set out in the Tables in Schedule B to this Agreement.

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee.

  • Part-Time Employees (a) A part-time employee is an employee who is engaged to work less than an average of 38 ordinary hours per week and whose hours of work are reasonably predictable.

  • Regular Part-Time Employees A regular part-time employee is one who works less than full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular part-time employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement. Regular part-time employees shall receive the same perquisites, on a proportionate basis, as granted regular full-time employees.

  • Annual Leave Exclusive of Public Holidays The period of annual leave prescribed by this clause is exclusive of any public holidays, and if any such holiday falls within an employee’s period of annual leave and is observed on a day which in the case of that employee would have been an ordinary working day, there will be added to the period of annual leave time equivalent to the ordinary time which the employee would have worked if such day had not been a holiday.

  • Pay for Holidays Worked (a) When an employee is required to work on a designated holiday, the employee shall be paid compensation, or given compensatory time off, for such work at the rate of time and one-half the employee’s regular rate of pay, in addition to regular pay received for all hours worked for the holiday.

  • Part-Time Regular Employees District shall maintain, in participation with (tenured) part-time regular faculty, all insurance fringe benefits coverage on the basis applicable to full-time participation in regard to premium payments.

  • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.
