Professional Privileges. Pursuant to the Public Employment Relations Act, the Board hereby agrees that every employee of the Board shall have the right to freely organize, join and support the Association for the purpose of engaging in collective bargaining or negotiation and other lawful activities for mutual aid and protection or to refrain from such activities. As a duly elected body exercising governmental power under cover of law of the State of Michigan, the Board and Association undertakes and agrees that they will not directly or indirectly discourage, deprive or coerce any teacher in the enjoyment of any rights conferred by Act 379 or other laws of Michigan or the Constitution of Michigan and the United States. The Board will not discriminate against any teacher with respect to hours, wages, or any terms or conditions of employment by reason of his/her membership or non-membership in the Association, his/her participation or non-participation in any lawful activities of the Association or collective professional negotiations with the Board, or his/her institution of any grievance, complaint or proceeding under this Agreement with respect to any term or condition of employment.

  • INSPECTION PRIVILEGES Authorized agents of the Union shall have access to the Employer’s establishment during working hours for the purpose of adjusting disputes, investigating working conditions, collection of dues, and ascertaining that this Agreement is being adhered to, provided, however, that there is no interruption of the Employer’s working schedule. As a duly selected body exercising governmental power under the law of the State of New Jersey, the Board undertakes and agrees that it shall not directly or indirectly discourage or deprive or coerce any employee in the enjoyment of any rights conferred by Chapter 123, Public Laws of 1975 or other laws of New Jersey or the Constitution of New Jersey and the United States; that it shall not discriminate against any employee with respect to hours, wages, or any terms or conditions of employment by reason of his/her membership in the Association and its affiliates, his/her participation in any activities of the Association and its affiliates, collective negotiations with the Board, or his/her institution of any grievance, complaint or proceeding under this Agreement or otherwise with respect to any terms or conditions of employment.
