Professional Education Allowance. A professional development allowance is available during the academic year, which may be used for obtaining educational conference attendance, books or educational materials, or for other professional development activities or purchases approved by the Program Director. Residents/Fellows should refer to the GME Manual Leave and Summary of Resident/Fellow Benefits Policy for further information about the use of the professional education allowance and reimbursement procedures.

Professional Education Allowance. The professional development allowance may be used for attending educational conference, obtaining books or educational materials, or for other professional development activities or purchases. Reimbursements: Reimbursement will not be available for expenses incurred as a result of travel to and from the Assigned Site and the University. In addition, the University will not provide the Resident with reimbursement for initial relocation expense or provide any housing subsidy.

Related to Professional Education Allowance

  • Education Allowance Provisions in existing Collective Agreements providing for educational allowances shall be continued in effect.

  • Continuing Education Allowance (a) A registered nurse or enrolled nurse who holds a continuing education qualification in a clinical field, in addition to the qualification leading to registration or enrolment, shall be paid an allowance subject to the conditions set out in this clause.

  • Professional Development Allowance 55.1 The CEO may, subject to this clause, approve the reimbursement or payment of financial assistance to a Science and Engineering Professional employee to offset professional development costs.

The maximum reimbursement shall be $1,500 per year.

  • PROFESSIONAL COMPENSATION A. The basic salaries of teachers covered by this Agreement are set forth in Appendix A which is attached to and incorporated in this Agreement. Such salary schedule shall remain in effect during the designated periods.

  • Professional and Education Leaves (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.

  • Training Allowance Operators who are required by the Employer to provide training to a specified level and to certify to the competency of the employees so trained shall receive twelve dollars ($12) per day while training. In such cases, the most senior qualified operator with the capability to provide training in the required class of equipment shall be given the opportunity to provide such training.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.
