Common use of Personal Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Personal Leave of Absence. A leave of absence without pay, not to exceed ninety (90) calendar days, may be granted at the discretion of the Hospital, in accordance with Hospital policy. The nurse shall not forfeit any accrued rights during an authorized leave of absence, without pay, but likewise the nurse shall not accrue any rights during such leave. A request for a leave, extension of the leave and approval shall be in writing. The request will include reasons for the leave. The nurse will give the Hospital as much notice as possible when requesting leave.
