PERS Eligible Unit Members hired prior to January 1, 2013 All PERS members who are compensated based on placement on the EPMC Schedule will remain on the EPMC Schedule and the District will continue to pay their PERS member contribution.

PERS Eligible Unit Members hired on or after January 1, 2013 Effective July 1, 2013, all unit members hired by the District on or after January 1, 2013, (or who become PERS eligible on or after January 1, 2013), and who is considered by CalPERS to be a “new” member, shall be placed on the non-EPMC Schedule (5% higher than the EPMC Schedule). Unit members placed on the non-EPMC Schedule shall pay one-half of the normal cost of PERS participation. An employee hired by the District after January 1, 2013, and who is considered by CalPERS to be a “classic” member but who is new to the District shall be placed on the EPMC schedule unless he/she comes from another California governmental entity and has had a break in service of more than six (6) months, in which case the employee shall be considered a “new” member and shall be placed on the non-EPMC salary schedule.

  • Bargaining Unit Member Rights 1. When an employee is to be interviewed or questioned concerning a complaint or allegation of misconduct, the employee will be informed of, prior to the interview, the nature of the investigation and whether the employee is the subject of the investigation or a witness in the investigation. If the employee is the subject of investigation, the employee will also be informed of the specifics of each complaint or allegation against him/her.

  • Bargaining Unit Members hired before July 1, 1995 Those Bargaining Unit Members whose current regular assigned work shift ends after 5:00 p.m. or commences before 7:30 a.m. or after 5:00 p.m. and who are currently receiving a shift differential pay of five percent (5%) for time worked after 5:00 p.m. or before 7:30 a.m. shall continue to receive said differential.

  • Eligible Participants Families and individuals experiencing homelessness. For the purposes of the Program, families and individuals are considered to be homeless only when he/she/they lack(s) a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence and reside(s) in a place not meant for human habitation, such as cars, parks, sidewalks, abandoned buildings, motels, or other shelters, or for reference as further defined in 24 CFR Part 578.3 and 576.2.

  • Membership Benefits The benefits of CamCare programs are available only while your membership is current and active. Benefits are term year specific so they can only be used during the current active plan agreement period. Members have the ability to change their plan from one plan to another but the plans cannot be unbundled. Each plan has been designed carefully to include those elements associated with the main intent of a particular plan.
