Participation and Talent development. The City Council recognises the Arts Council’s emphasis on talent development with regard to its funding of the Junction, and its regional role in relation to the Escalator programme. The Council hopes that in meeting the Arts Council’s expectations regarding its regional role the Junction will also be able to xxxxxx and nurture local talent in and around Cambridge in the performing arts. The Council expects the Junction to play an important part in performance opportunities for local bands, to seek and respond to demand for similar opportunities in relation to theatre and dance, particularly in relation to youth theatre and youth dance provision. The Junction will ensure the widest participation in the arts through outreach services and holiday schemes which offer taster and beginners sessions, delivered through grant funding or small donations. Young people will have opportunities to develop as artists through the Junction’s status as an ‘Arts Award Welcome Centre’ where it will ensure a programme that enables participants to gain bronze, silver, and gold awards. To ensure that the Junction develops young people’s creativity, a high-quality participation programme will also be available that develops potential through working alongside high quality national and international artists. This will largely be funded by direct subscriptions and by developing an ethos with resident and touring companies that learning, development, and access are key values of The Junction.

  • Joint Development If joint development is involved, the Recipient agrees to follow the latest edition of FTA Circular 7050.1, “Federal Transit Administration Guidance on Joint Development.”

  • Independent Development Receiving Party may currently or in the future be developing information internally, or receiving information internally, or receiving information from other parties that may be similar to the Disclosing Party's Confidential Information. Accordingly, nothing in this Agreement will be construed as a representation or inference that Receiving Party will not develop or have developed products or services, that, without violation of this Agreement, might compete with the products or systems contemplated by the Disclosing Party's Confidential Information.

  • Project Development a. Collaborate with COUNTY and project clients to identify requirements and develop a project Scope Statement.

  • Career Development The City and the Union agree that employee career growth can be beneficial to both the City and the affected employee. As such, consistent with training needs identified by the City and the financial resources appropriated therefore by the City, the City shall provide educational and training opportunities for employee career growth. Each employee shall be responsible for utilizing those training and educational opportunities made available by the City or other institutions for the self- development effort needed to achieve personal career goals.

  • Staff Development ‌ The County and the Association agree that the County retains full authority to determine training needs, resources that can be made available, and the method of payment for training authorized by the County. Nothing in this subsection shall preclude the right of an employee to request specific training.

  • Professional Development Program (a) The parties agree to continue a Professional Development Program for the maintenance and development of the faculty members' professional competence and effectiveness. It is agreed that maintenance of currency of subject knowledge, the improvement of performance of faculty duties, and the maintenance and improvement of professional competence, including instructional skills, are the primary professional development activities of faculty members.

  • Employee Development The Employer may provide employees the opportunity to participate in appropriate seminars, workshops or short courses. When possible and appropriate the Employer will provide to all staff information on seminars, workshops or short courses by posting a notice on the Employer’s internal web site.

  • Professional Development Reimbursement Management will provide reimbursement for approved professional development expenses for Lieutenants and Sergeants. Funds may be used for the purpose of improving job performance, maintaining and increasing proficiency, preparing Lieutenants and Sergeants for greater responsibility, or increasing promotional opportunities. Management must approve of the specific professional development request in advance. Denial will require written notification to the requesting Lieutenant or Sergeant.

  • Subsequent Developments After the date of this Contract and until the Closing Date, Seller shall use best efforts to keep Buyer fully informed of all subsequent developments of which Seller has knowledge (“Subsequent Developments”) which would cause any of Seller’s representations or warranties contained in this Contract to be no longer accurate in any material respect.

  • Curriculum Development This includes the analysis and coordination of textual materials; constant review of current literature in the field, some of which are selected for the college library collection, the preparation of selective, descriptive materials such as outlines and syllabi; conferring with other faculty and administration on curricular problems; and, the attendance and participation in inter and intra-college conferences and advisory committees.
