Parental Leave Top-up Benefits. (1) An Employee who qualifies for parental leave pursuant to Article 18.5(b), shall be paid a parental leave allowance. In order to receive this allowance, the Employee must provide to the Employer proof of application and eligibility to receive employment insurance benefits pursuant to the Employment Insurance Act. An Employee disentitled or disqualified from receiving employment insurance benefits is not eligible for parental leave allowance.

  • Parental Leave/Adoption Leave An employee will be granted unpaid parental leave for a period up to and including thirty-five (35) weeks, upon request and verification of:
