Common use of Paid Time to Working Time Clause in Contracts

Paid Time to Working Time. (Full-Time and Part-Time) Time paid by the Hospital for bereavement leave, sickness, paid holidays, paid vacations, absences paid by the Workers Compensation Board is to be recognized as time worked for the purpose of calculation of overtime during the work schedule in which the absence occurred. No pyramiding shall result from application of this provision. The foregoing shall also apply in cases of short-term leaves of absence for Union business approved by the Hospital under the applicable provision of the Collective Agreement where payment is made to the employee by the Union.
